We recommend that the maximum capacity for a heater running on a standard 240v power supply is 2.8kW (2800W). We strongly advise consulting a qualified electrician to inspect your mains power distribution board before hiring multiple electric heaters. This will ensure that your electrical ring main has the adequate capacity to operate the heaters safely.

The convector heaters are lightweight, simple to operate, produce heat instantly, and are cheaper to transport due to their weight.

Oil-filled radiators are heavyweight, robust, stable and more energy efficient as they retain warmth built up by the oil temperature as opposed to the convector heater which only stops producing heat once the room has reached a set level. Oil-filled radiators have more expensive carriage costs due to the transportation weight. Both options are safe to use under desks, offices and most general indoor closed areas as they do not burn when touched, and pose a low-risk fire hazard if tipped over as they have safety auto power shut-off facilities.

Oil-filled radiators use the same electrical power as electric heaters. However, because they heat up the oil inside, they retain warmth longer even as the oil cools. By using a timer to control the heating, you can make savings. On the downside, oil-filled radiators are heavier and more cumbersome than convector heaters, and they take longer to warm up since they need to heat the oil, unlike the lighter elements used in standard convector heaters.

If you have a large warehouse or construction site you may want to consider this option of a heater to heat your workplace.

For the safe operation of this type of heater, we recommend that nothing is placed in front of these heaters due to the intense heat being produced and the flame they generate could lead to fire or being burned. This type of heater also requires a cylinder of propane gas and 110v or 240v electricity to power the fan.

Industrial propane space heaters are generally safe to use, but it's important to follow all manufacturer safety guidelines. When hiring a heater, ensure you choose the correct BTU or kW output for the area you need to heat. Be aware that moisture can accumulate from cylinder sweating during operation, so avoid placing the cylinder near items that could be damaged by water or in areas where it could create a slip hazard, such as near cardboard packaging or on tiled floors.
