The Ceiling Cassette type air conditioner are designed to be fitted into suspended ceiling grids, however surface mounted alternative units are also available on the market. The cassettes are extremely quiet in use and provide cooling capacities ranging from 5kw through to 15kw.
This type of unit can be controlled either by remote keypad or wall-mounted control panel and can offer optional heating, cooling, and fan only functions with variable fan speeds.
The most commonly installed type of ceiling mounted air conditioning units are the cassette type. This range are ideally designed to suit rooms with a suspended ceiling tile grids and are perfect for use in offices or shops.
The bulk core of the unit is concealed within the ceiling void space with only a thin facia outlet and inlet grille visible into the room installed. The visual aspect of this type of unit make them a common choice of air conditioning solution as they tend to complement instead of posing a visual distraction.
The units have been designed with a four way blow facility which enables a single unit to be centrally installed to evenly distribute warm or cool air around the room or with multiples of units to balance the temperatures in larger areas
Although ceiling cassette air conditioning units are mainly concealed within a suspended ceiling they are easy to retrofit and can be installed quickly and with little disruption.
Under-Ceiling Mounted Air Conditioning
Under-Ceiling air conditioners are an excellent choice for large commercial premises, indoor sports venues, retail outlets or bars and public houses, mainly where floor or wall space is at a limited.
As the ceiling cassette’ type units which are fitted within a suspended false ceiling, the under ceiling air con systems are usually mounted below ceiling height. Despite the fact that they are not considered as visually pleasing to the eye as ceiling cassettes models, they are have a more powerful function by means of air flow. The power produced model of air con allows us to propose fewer units than we would normally recommended with ceiling cassettes or wall / floor mounted units. This can also help with the reduction of installation and future maintenance costs where additional units may otherwise have been required.
Due to the high power levels of these under ceiling air conditioners we do not recommend installing them in offices, restaurants (although they are suitable for fast food restaurants) or for residential applications. For these types of installations, we would recommend, wall, cassette or ducted units.
