a. Unplug Humidifier
b. Empty water tank. Disinfect the tank by adding 5ml (1Teaspoon) of bleach to approximately half a tank of cold water. Replace the cap; shake tank to allow all surfaces to become wet. Leave solution in tank for around 20 minutes, shaking the tank every few minutes to keep all surfaces wet.
c. Empty the water and rinse thoroughly to remove any bleach smell.
d. Clean the water channel with damp soft cloth.
e. Gently scrub the area around the transducer with a soft brush. If lime scale has built up in this area it can be removed with a descaler suitable for plastic kettles. Do not turn on the humidifier during the cleaning or descaling process.
If you prefer you may substitute a sterilising solution, suitable for baby’s feeding products. |
